Mental health nurses at a ward nurses' station

Agency staffing

Mental-health-led agency staffing

From ward clerks through to registered nurses, every MHSS placement is underpinned by mental health training and our commitment to safe, compliant, patient-first care.

Roles we supply

01

Ward Clerk / Admin Assistant

Competent management of medical records, lab reports, radiological images and patient documentation — complete, secure and readily available to physicians, nurses and other care providers.

A critical role in safe patient care: our ward clerks meet patients on arrival at a clinical unit, receiving records and entering information into order sheets, medication records and laboratory requests.

02

Healthcare Assistant

A vital part of the ward team, carrying out a wide range of duties to care for, support and inform patients and their families under the direction of qualified nursing staff.

Often the first point of contact, all MHSS HCAs are friendly and confident with strong interpersonal skills — putting patients at ease and helping with personal care while making sure they feel comfortable.

03

Mental Health Support Worker

Support, Time and Recovery workers providing therapy, assistance and basic care to patients with mental illness or developmental disabilities — across depression, dementia and addiction.

Working alongside social workers, psychiatrists and community mental health teams, they monitor conditions, assist with daily activities and arrange peer support groups, focused on giving each person support, time and aid in their recovery.

04

Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

Planning and providing medical and nursing care for people experiencing mental illness — in hospital, at home or in other settings.

Skilled in assessment on admission and throughout, care planning, administering prescribed medication, monitoring physical health and wellbeing, record-keeping and liaising with doctors, social workers and other professionals — building therapeutic relationships that help patients take control of their health.

05

MH-Trained Security Personnel

Core security training underpinned by mental health awareness — a unique assurance that physical intervention skills are applied in patient settings with full understanding of the patient's needs.

Ideal for wards, secure units and transport escorts where a calm, clinically aware presence matters.
