How a transfer works

Referral & individual risk assessment
A dedicated controller takes the referral and completes an individual risk assessment for the patient and the journey.

Crew briefing & route plan
The crew is briefed on clinical needs, legal status and de-escalation approach, and the route is planned in advance.

Secure, monitored transfer
The transfer is carried out in a purpose-equipped secure vehicle, monitored throughout by mental-health-trained staff.

Safe handover & records
A structured handover to the receiving team, with records completed and shared for continuity of care.
